Week 13 Essential NFL Practice News & Notes for Thursday

Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (right shoulder) took full practice reps again Thursday. Bortles will be fine to face the Broncos.

Patriots QB Tom Brady (knee) returned to limited practice reps Thursday after missing Wednesday practice. Brady should continue to play through the knee injury.

Raiders QB Derek Carr (finger, right hand) practiced fully Wednesday. Carr is expected to play through the injury.

Bears QB Jay Cutler (right shoulder) missed practice again Thursday. Cutler is out for the year after undergoing shoulder surgery. Matt Barkley is a Sneaky Start in a great matchup after a surprisingly productive performance last week.

Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (knee) took full practice reps Thursday. Fitzpatrick is a Sneaky Start given his matchup with the Colts.

Colts QB Andrew Luck (right shoulder, concussion) took limited practice reps Thursday. Luck should be fine to face the Jets.

Bengals QB AJ McCarron (neck) returned to full practice reps Thursday after missing Wednesday.

Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (not injury related) returned to full practice reps Thursday after missing Wednesday. Palmer will be fine to face Washington.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (hamstring) took limited practice reps again Thursday. It looks like he’ll be fine to play. He may not be as explosive as usual as a runner in Week 13.

Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (foot) missed practice again Thursday. He’s in a walking boot and is considered day-to-day. Gary Kubiak said that he could play without practicing, but things aren’t looking too good. If he can’t play, it’s a downgrade for the Broncos’ receivers.

Chiefs QB Alex Smith (chest) was removed from the injury report Thursday after taking full practice reps Wednesday. Smith is a Sneaky Start in a nice matchup with the Falcons.

Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (groin) took full practice reps again Thursday. Taylor should be fine to play, though he’ll be shorthanded at receiver.
