FanDuel Week 5 Cash Game Breakdown

When it comes to cash games, sample size is an ally. The larger the available sample size is, the more confident you can be in using data to draw conclusions about projected usage, strength of matchup, etc. In addition, pricing inefficiencies start to come to the forefront. Early in the season, DFS salaries seem to be heavily weighted towards preseason projections, and even though we're in Week 5 now, some of the salaries haven't caught up. For example, Larry Fitzgerald is the fantasy WR2, but sites aren't pricing him as such, or he'd be right behind Julio Jones (the WR1) in pricing. As the season wears on, be sure to take 2015's data into account a bit more heavily each week, especially in cash games. While DFS is a game for forward-thinkers for sure, cash games aren't the time to take a gamble on a guy that hasn't been producing -- save that for tournaments were the reward matches the risk.

Editor's Note: The 4for4 Championship is still going strong in Week 5 - and now we're rolling out something special! This week's tournament still awards 5 Championship seats and $7,000 in cash prizes, but in Week 5 you can enter for only $5 (instead of $10) and you can also win a FREE VIP TRIP to Las Vegas for the World Fantasy Football Championship Event in December! The trip will include a hotel room and round trip flight, as well as access to FanDuel's exclusive parties the weekend of the event. This will be the weekend of a lifetime, and your best chance to get there is in the 4for4 Championship. Draft a team now!

QB Tom Brady $8,800 @ DAL

Four-time world champion Brady is the fantasy QB1 as we enter Week 5 and goes into Jerry's World to face a Dallas defense that has surrendered an average of 322 passing yards and two TDs over the past two games to Drew Brees and Matt Ryan. The will Patriots have the highest Vegas total on the slate (29.25), which bodes well for Brady since 71 percent of New England’s offensive TDs have come through the air since the start of 2014 (including playoffs). Brady is the top floor value this week at QB.
