DraftKings Week 2 Cash Game Breakdown

On this week's DFSMVP Podcast, TJ Hernandez, Josh Moore and I spoke about how many lineups we typically use in cash games. You can listen for the full discussion, but in a nutshell, my take is that I always aim for one lineup, but will play multiple lineups if there are numerous values I like that I can fit in my lineup in different ways without completely overhauling the structure of my roster. This week, it's highly likely that I'll play multiple lineups. There are a few QBs I like, and a bunch of value at each position (Chris Johnson at RB, Terrance Williams at WR, Jason Witten at TE) that allow for flexibility.

QB Drew Brees $7,800 vs. TB

Lovie Smith's defense got stomped by Marcus Mariota last week, allowing 13.0 yards per attempt and TDs on 25 percent of his passes. Only two defenses allowed more 20-plus yard passing plays in Week 1. The Saints are 10-point home favorite against the Bucs, and Brees historically puts up better numbers at home and as a favorite.

QB Sam Bradford $6,900 vs. DAL

After a slow start in the first half in Atlanta, Bradford rebounded to post the third-highest passing yardage total of his career in his first game under Chip Kelly. He has a high yardage floor in Kelly's efficient, quick-hitting offense, and is a good bet to get the 300-yard DraftKings bonus. Vegas odds makers believe the Eagles are good for 29 points this week, and under Kelly, 62 percent of the Eagles TDs have come through the air, meaning Bradford has good TD potential as well. Remember, he should have had a second TD to Jordan Matthews last week but it was ruled down just short and the Eagles chose not to challenge. The Cowboys conservative style on defense likely plays right into the Eagles hands, and being without CB Orlando Scandrick and now DE Randy Gregory will soon catch up to them.

QB Carson Palmer $6,700 @ CHI

The Bears defense allowed a 78 completion percentage and three TDs on only 23 attempts to Aaron Rodgers, failing to improve on a pass defense that finished as a bottom-3 unit in completion percentage and yards per attempt allowed in 2014. Under Bruce Arians, Palmer has been highly consistent: he's thrown for multiple scores in 66 percent of his starts and thrown for 200 yards or more in 85 percent of his starts.
