Essential Practice News & Notes: Wild Card Weekend

Bengals QB Andy Dalton (right thumb, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 18. AJ McCarron will get the start.

Texans RB Alfred Blue (calf, probable) took limited practice reps all week and is probable for Week 18.

Redskins RB Matt Jones (hip, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 18. Jones has a chance to play but it’s no sure thing. HC Jay Gruden said he’s “not very encouraged” by his status. Alfred Morris would be a Sneaky Start if Jones can’t play.

Packers RB Eddie Lacy (rib, probable) took limited practice reps all week and is probable for Week 18. Lacy will be fine to face the Redskins, but the rib injury has been bothering him for a while now.

Vikings RB Zach Line (illness) was removed from the injury report Friday.

Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (abdomen, questionable) took full practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 18. Lynch is practicing in full so at this point we expecting him to be a full go.

Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (back, probable) took full practice reps Friday after missing practice earlier in the week and is probable for Week 18. Peterson is good to go to face the Seahawks.

Texans RB Chris Polk (knee, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 18.

Redskins RB Chris Thompson (toe, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 18.

Chiefs RB Spencer Ware (rib, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 18.

Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams (foot, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 18. Williams has been ruled out. Per beat writer Jeremy Fowler, “Steelers OC Todd Haley said Fitz Toussaint is ‘the guy’ this week unless DeAngelo Williams can go, but Toussaint won't get 70-80 snaps. Jordan Todman will be heavily involved.”

Steelers WR Martavis Bryant (neck, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 18. The probable tag means that Bryant will play against the Bengals.

Chiefs WR Chris Conley (thumb, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 18.

Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (hand, probable) took full practice reps again Friday and is probable for Week 18. No worries here.

Redskins WR DeSean Jackson (knee, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 18. Jackson will be fine to face the Packers.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (hip, probable) took full practice reps again Friday and is probable for Week 18. Lockett is probable so he’s good to go to face the Vikings.

Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (hip, probable) took full practice reps again Friday and is probable for Week 18. Maclin should be fine to face the Texans on Saturday. It’s a tough matchup, but he’s been playing well.

Texans WR Cecil Shorts (hamstring, probable) took full practice reps again Friday and is probable for Week 18. Shorts will play against the Chiefs.

Vikings WR Adam Thielen (shoulder, back, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 18.

Texans WR Nate Washington (hip, probable) took limited practice reps again Friday and is probable for Week 18. The probable tag means that Washington is all but certain to face the Chiefs. His presence limits the upside of Cecil Shorts and Jaelen Strong.

Texans TE Ryan Griffin (achilles, probable) took full practice reps again Friday and is probable for Week 18.

Bengals TE Ryan Hewitt (knee, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 18.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (groin, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 18. No worries here.

Steelers TE Heath Miller (not injury related, probable) took full practice reps again Friday and is probable for Week 18.

Packers TE Justin Perillo (hamstring, questionable) took limited practice reps again Friday and is questionable for Week 18.

Seahawks TE Luke Willson (concussion, out) missed practice again Friday and is out for Week 18.
