Week 16 Essential NFL Practice News & Notes for Friday

Eagles QB Sam Bradford (left shoulder, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 16. Bradford is a Sneaky Start against the Redskins.

Saints QB Drew Brees (foot, questionable) missed practice again Thursday and is questionable for Week 16. Brees is being described as “day-to-day” with a plantar fascia injury in his foot. He is hoping to finish the season, so for now we’re expecting him to play through the injury. He said he has “every intention” of playing on Sunday. The Saints play late, so if his status is still up in the air, it will put owners in a tough spot.

Bengals QB Andy Dalton (right thumb) has been ruled out for Week 16.

Texans QB B.J. Daniels (chest, probable) took full practice reps again Friday and is probable for Week 16.

Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (left thumb, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 16. Fitz threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns in his Week 7 meeting with the Patriots, though the New England defense is playing better at this point in the season.

Colts QB Matt Hasselbeck (back, rib, probable) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week and is probable for Week 16. Hasselbeck is expected to start, but that doesn’t mean he’ll finish the game.

Texans QB Brian Hoyer (concussion, ankle, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 16. Hoyer is working his way back and may be able to return since the Texans are still in the playoff hunt. If he can’t play, Brandon Weeden would get the start.

Colts QB Andrew Luck (abdomen, kidney, out) took limited practice reps all week and is out for Week 16. Matt Hasselbeck is expected to start again this week.

Broncos QB Peyton Manning (foot) missed practice again Friday. Brock Osweiler will continue to start.

Titans QB Marcus Mariota (knee, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 16. He’s out for the year. Zach Mettenberger will start this week.

Panthers QB Cam Newton (not injury related, probable) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week and is probable for Week 16. Newton is our top ranked QB this week.

Broncos QB Brock Osweiler (left shoulder) took full practice reps again Friday.

Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (right finger, probable) took limited practice reps again Thursday and is probable for Week 16. Palmer shouldn’t have an issue playing through the injury.

Cowboys QB Tony Romo (left shoulder, out) has been ruled out for Week 16. Kellen Moore will start for the Cowboys.

Jets QB Geno Smith (illness, probable) took full practice reps again Friday and is probable for Week 16.
