DraftKings Week 15 Cash Game Breakdown

SUNDAY UPDATE: Earlier in the week, I thought Russell Wilson had the slightest of edges over Carson Palmer ($7,000) as the top cash game option at QB. However, with wet and windy weather expected in Seattle, Palmer now looks to be the safer choice, as he will be playing in decent weather and in what is likely to be a faster paced game with less potential for a blowout than Seahawks-Browns.

All reports indicate Calvin Johnson (questionable, ankle) missed Saturday practice merely for rest puroses, but given the slight uncertainty that comes with the Monday night kickoff time, Julio Jones ($8,600) now looks like the safest choice as far as stud WRs go. If using a lineup similar to the one below, I'd suggest freeing up salary for Julio by swapping Adrian Peterson for either Danny Amendola ($5,700) or Golden Tate ($5,500). Antonio Gates ($4,600) -- a top-three projected value at TE -- is viable as well and would be necessary if swapping Peterson/Johnson for Jones/Amendola.

While the general strategy in DraftKings' cash games -- in contrast to FanDuel's -- is to find an affordable QB and pay for consistency at WR, the stud WRs all come with too much risk to be cash game viable this week. Odell Beckham Jr. will face Josh Norman, Antonio Brown will square off against a Broncos defense ranked 1st in WR aFPA, DeAndre Hopkins will face a Colts defense that just limited Allen Robinson to one catch, and Robinson will face a Falcons defense ranked 2nd in WR aFPA. Speaking of the Falcons, Julio Jones ($8,500) is viable, but probably not necessary. Carson Palmer ($7,000) is another viable option at QB, as are Cam Newton ($7,800) and Tom Brady ($7,800). Charcandrick West ($4,800) would be a great option at RB if Spencer Ware (ribs) misses the game. Golden Tate ($5,500) has caught at least 7 passes in four straight games and is viable as well, but he hasn't averaged even 10 yards per reception in any of those aforementioned games.

QB Russell Wilson $7,000 vs. CLE

Wilson is averaging 318 total yards and 4.3 total TDs per game to go along with a 16:0 TD-to-INT ratio over the past four weeks, throwing for at least 3 TDs in every game during that span. Seattle has a team total above 28 points this weekend, and Wilson has accounted for 85% of their offensive TDs over the last four games -- a figure that may increase with Thomas Rawls (ankle) on the shelf. Cleveland, meanwhile, ranks 30th in QB aFPA and 29th in passing TD% allowed (6.1%).
