FanDuel Week 14 Cash Game Breakdown

When building cash game lineups on FanDuel this week, I started by plugging in the Saints defense. Not the Saints defense that costs $4,000 and has averaged 5.42 FanDuel points this season; the one that has hemorrhaged 25.44 FanDuel points per game to opposing QBs. In other words, I’m building around Jameis Winston.

As usual, my preferred approach is reflected below, but there is a case to be made for a number of options not listed. At RB, Doug Martin ($8,000), Thomas Rawls ($7,400) and Shaun Draughn ($6,500) are options, as well as David Johnson ($6,500) on the Thursday slate. At WR, Alshon Jeffery ($7,500) is a top projected value and has 11 or more targets in six of seven games this season. And at TE, Scott Chandler ($5,800) has 19 targets over his past two games and produced in a tough on-paper matchup last week.

UPDATE: Potentially heavy winds (20 mph) are in the forecast for Chicago on Sunday. Anything above 15 mph would be problematic for passing games (i.e. Jeffery), so be sure to check the forecast Sunday morning.

QB Jameis Winston $7,800 vs. NO

Winston gets to take his turn against a Saints defense that ranks last in QB aFPA by a wide margin. They also rank last in QB rating allowed (116.6) and passing TDs per game allowed (2.9), and second to last in passing yards per game allowed (287.4). Tampa Bay has a team total of 27 this week – 4.4 points higher than their season average of 22.6. That means a lot of scoring upside for Winston, who has accounted for 85% of the Buccaneers’ offensive TDs this season.
