Fantasy Football Sneaky Starts: Week 13

Garcon

As injuries pile up, all but the luckiest fantasy owners will at some point need to find the proverbial diamond in the rough: a waiver wire or bench player who is capable of putting up some points in a pinch. This weekly feature is dedicated to that part of fantasy football. It's not pretty, but it's part of the game.

Here's a look at the sneakiest QB, RB, WR and TE plays for Week 13...

QUARTERBACKS

Matt Moore, Dolphins (vs. OAK)
Moore has been up and down this season, but he has been playing pretty well of late, averaging 225 yards and 1.8 TDs over the last four games. After throwing for 288 yards and a TD against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, he had a few extra days to prepare for the Raiders, who have one of the most generous secondaries in the league in terms of Adjusted FP allowed to QBs.
Caleb Hanie, Bears (vs. KC)
The Chiefs are mediocre against the pass, but Hanie is something of a dual threat. Against the Raiders, he threw for 254 yards (and two TDs) and rushed five times for 50 yards. If he keeps those rushing yards up, he'll have QB2 value the rest of the way.
Dan Orlovsky, Colts (@ NE)
Orlovsky gets his first start of the season in a great matchup with a Patriots secondary that has given up the most Adjusted FP to QBs this season. This is partly due to the Patriots often playing with a lead, but there's still a chance that Orlovsky could have a nice fantasy day due to volume of throws and the relative quality of his receiving corps.
