The New England Patriots come into the playoffs as the hottest team in the NFL, winners of their last 8 games with an average margin of victory over 21 points.

Surprisingly, the Indianapolis Colts were actually playing games that mattered down the stretch this time around. The Colts won their last 4 games to seize control of their own destiny and win the AFC South, including a must win game against division rival Jacksonville.

The Baltimore Ravens ended the season on a four game winning streak to clinch a Wildcard birth, including a win over the defending champion Saints.

The Green Bay Packers couldn't unseat the Bears atop the NFC North but they did win their last two games to clinch an NFC Wildcard spot. In their final 2 games the Packers beat a Giants team also playing for the last Wildcard spot 45-17 and beat the NFC North champion Bears.

The Seattle Seahawks had been cold for most of the 2nd half, but turned it on when it mattered winning a week 17 NFC West matchup with the Rams for the division crown.

Patriots QB Tom Brady has now gone 11 straight games without throwing an interception or fumbling. Brady now has 335 consecutive pass attempts without an interception, passing the previous record of 308 set by Bernie Kosar. Is it a coincidence that Brady's interceptionless streak began the game after Randy Moss was traded to the Vikings, a move that many thought would hurt the Patriot offense?

Colts QB Peyton Manning has thrown at least 2 TDs in each of his last 7 games and even added a 27 yard rush as Manning uncharacteristically streaked for the end zone before opting to slide inside the 5 yard line rather than take a sure score.

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger has thrown for at least 245 yards in 8 consecutive games to finish out the season.

Patriots RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis has scored at least 8 fantasy points in each of his last 8 games, with 7 touchdowns and 691 yards in that span.

Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles finished 2010 with 3 straight games of at least 100 total yards and a TD. He also doubled his TD production on the season with 4 scores over those final 3 games.

Saints RB Reggie Bush comes into Wildcard Weekend with at least 4 receptions in each of his last 4 games. Expect that number, along with Bush's production, to increase now that he will be expected to handle the bulk of the load with Pierre Thomas & Chris Ivory placed on season-ending IR.

Bears RB Matt Forte has rushed for at least 90 yards in each of his last 3 games and added 122 receiving yards in that span while out-touching Chester Taylor 64-18.

Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall has scored in 3 straight games.

Ravens RB Ray Rice rushed for at least 75 yards in each of his last 3 games, adding 3 TDs over the span.

Steelers WR Mike Wallace finished the season with 3 consecutive 100 yard receiving performances and TDs in his last two. Wallace had a streak of 3 100 yard games earlier in the season with 4 TDs over that span.

Colts WR Pierre Garcon has caught TD passes in two straight games and will need to step up Saturday as the Jets plan to strap Darrelle Revis onto Reggie Wayne.

Likewise, the Peyton Manning will be relying heavily on TE Jacob Tamme, who has filled in admirably for an injured Dallas Clark and caught 7 passes in 3 straight games. In fact, Tamme has caught exactly 7 passes in 6 of the 10 games he's played.

Packers WR Greg Jennings has back to back games with 10 targets, averaging 5.5 receptions for 120 yards.

The last time Falcons QB Matt Ryan didn't throw a touchdown pass was week 1 against the Steelers. On the receiving end, Roddy White has caught TDs in 3 straight.

After missing two games due to a concussion, Steelers TE Heath Miller has now caught for at least 50 yards in each of his last two games.

Despite only catching 11 passes all season, and 3 over the past 6 weeks, Packers TE Donald Lee has a TD catch in each of his last 2 games.

Despite being a situational player at best, Packers RB John Kuhn has 4 TDs in his last 3 games.

In a less desirable streak, Saints QB Drew Brees has thrown an INT in 12 straight games.

The Patriots Defense has improved dramatically down the stretch. Over the first 11 games the Patriots allowed 288 passing yards, 399 total yards and 24 points against per game, while averaging 1.8 sacks and 1.3 INT per contest. Over the final 5 games of the season, the Patriots defense improved to allow only 192 passing, 295 total yards and 9.4 points per game while increasing their sacks and INTs to 3 and 2 per game respectively.
