FANTASY UPSIDE
With Charlie Weis coming into KC to be the offensive coordinator, you would have to think that should immediately benefit the Chiefs offense. Matt Cassel is the definite No. 1 QB so his numbers should rise for that reason.
FANTASY DOWNSIDE
The Chiefs offensive line was not upgraded in the off-season so protection should still be an issue. Also, expectations of Cassel are high because of his performance in 2008, but don't forget that was with the Patriots and there is no Randy Moss in Kansas City.
BOTTOM LINE
Cassel's numbers will moderately rise. Kansas City has given him some more weapons and Weis' influence will help him. But it probably won't be enough to garner a fantasy roster position to start the season. If the Chiefs offense shows vast improvement early, then grab Cassel off the waiver wire. There are too many better options to start the season off to be your fantasy No. 2 QB.
