Steve Smith Week 1 Fantasy Outlook
Smith proved himself to be a reliable option in the Giants passing attack last season and he'll look to continue that this year as well. Manning will likely look to him early and often to establish the passing game and keep the chains moving.
While he'll be facing good corners against the Panthers, Smith has developed into an excellent route-runner who seems to find a way to get open. He may not be as much of a big play threat as some of the other Giants WR's, but he's likely to grind out solid fantasy points week in and week out. Expect 65-85 yards with a decent shot at a score, minimum. Smith is a solid WR2 and an excellent WR3 option this week.
