II) WHY DO IT THIS WAY?
Many information site/message board models exist. Is our new Draft Board approach the best? One thing I know is the 4for4.com team is excited about this new approach. Here's why.Extremely Knowledgeable Fantasy Football Managers
We realize 4for4.com subscribers are among the best and most knowledgeable fantasy football managers on the planet. I firmly believe providing you with a forum where you can share comments, convey the local buzz and help mold the 4for4.com Community Rankings in real-time is a step in the right direction.
Quality, Not Quantity
With subscribers and staff making posts, we'll cut out a lot of garbage and noise you routinely see elsewhere. Having too many posts creates way too much "clutter" drowning out the best materials and that's not what we want. In short, we're going for quality, not quantity.
More Focused
Our dedicated player Draft Board style allows everyone to quickly spotlight NFL players. We think this is preferred over player analysis scattered throughout an endless pit of message board chaos.
Better Use of Resources - Better Site for You
The Draft Board approach allows us to better allocate our resources. Open-ended message boards that allow anyone with an Email address to flame and post foolishness creates a lot of work for those running the site. I'd rather put that resource into providing you guys with extra tools, information from real NFL media reporters and other new leading-edge materials. That's better than pouring resources into policing anonymous posters with anonymous email addresses.
For The Cost of a Soda
Since The Draft Board requires an ID and PW to post, we may miss out on some good material. We all recognize that. However, for the cost of a McDonald's large soda each month, one can gain full access to all 4for4.com has to offer. Having this small barrier to entry allows us to invest more in the site and you get less drivel on the board. Again, we're opting for quality, not quantity.
III) POSTING GUIDELINES
(also see Draft Board Terms of Use)We have an entire page of Draft Board terms. Please see the link above. Your use of the 4for4.com Draft Board constitutes your acceptance of all 4for4.com site Terms and Conditions.
In a nutshell, if you follow a few basic requests, avoid personal attacks, profanity, advertising, treat others as you would like to be treated and keep your material focused on the topic you'll be all set.
Please post "Who Do I Draft, Keep and Trade" type questions in the "MyTeam" section.
Also, if you're looking for help managing your team, rather than just asking a very specific Player-X/Player-Y type question, contribute to the community. Tell us what you think about the players on each Player page and see what others have to say.
As a guidepost, if the focus of your post is your team, ask your specific question in the "My Team" section.
